Shipping policy

Imai Daruma Naya aims to pack and ship each order within 7 business days of purchase. No packages are mailed on weekends or public holidays. You will be notified by email once your order has been dispatched. 

During the months of November to January, order processing times will be much longer than normal as it is the peak season for ordering daruma all across Japan. Traditionally every year, people in Japan order daruma from the end of the year to the beginning of the new year as a talisman for warding off evil, as well as lucky charms for the fulfillment of wishes. 

While we do make preparations for the increased demand during this particular time, all our daruma are made in-house and by hand so there is a limit to our production capacity. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this is a cultural phenomenon unique to Japan. 

All lead times shown are estimates through third-party shipping company DHL and Japan Post EMS, and Imai Daruma Naya is not responsible for any delays. Shipping timelines may be longer for destinations in rural areas.  

Imai Daruma Naya is not responsible for any import taxes or duties imposed by the country of import. If you do not pay these taxes, the package will be sent back to us. We will the refund you the amount for the order, minus the actual shipping cost charged to us by the carrier as well as the return shipping fee of the package to us.
