The silver Fuku-iri Daruma brings forth security, trust, reliability and good fortune.
A stunning version of Imai Daruma Naya's classic red daruma, the silver Fuku-iri Daruma shimmers in the light. Each one has a satin finish and is hand-painted in contrasting black with motifs representing two of Japan’s ancient animal symbols of longevity. The daruma’s eyebrows are cranes, once said to live 1,000 years. The beard and mustache are turtles, believed to live 10,000 years. On the daruma’s chest is the kanji character for “fuku,” good fortune ― the mark of a vigilant guardian deity.
The Fuku-iri Daruma design has survived more than two centuries in Japan. Imai Daruma NAYA’s lineup of 11 colors are a fun contemporary spin on a well-loved classic.
